At Water Nippers Swimming, we hope to give children the experience and skills they need to be able to enjoy being in the water, whilst always staying safe. We have taught many hundreds of children to swim over the years, and we often wonder what our budding swimmers get up to once they outgrow our pools.
Recently we were lucky enough to hear from one such ex water nipper. Arabella attended swimming lessons at the Trinity Hydro Pool in Wandsworth, with Adrian, one of our highly experienced teachers. Her parents have written to us to let us know how much they appreciated ‘Adrian’s skills and efforts in making the courses such an enjoyable and rewarding experience’.
To top it all off, Arabella’s time at Water Nippers has enabled her to join one of the junior competitive swimming squads at the Chelsea & Westminster Swimming Club. Not only was she selected, but she has gone on to win a bronze medal for crawl and silver medal for backstroke in her first competitive gala for the club. This is an absolutely amazing achievement for a 5-year-old, competing for the first time against club members from across London. As you can see from the picture, she is a very pleased little girl and we couldn’t be prouder of her. We all wish her the best in her future swimming career, watch this space, she could be winning medals for Great Britain at the Olympic games one day.
We cannot promise that your little one will win medals but we will do our best to ensure they enjoy their lessons with Water Nippers and take away with them an essential life skill. Being able to swim will keep them safe in the water and give them the tools to keep themselves fit throughout their life.
